Large scale coverage of family planning services in urban Pakistan

18 March, 2026

Hi Everyone

Hope you are well. Eid Mubarak to all

I am sharing our work in universal coverage of family planning at near-citywide scale. In this, we reached 1.1 population (136K households) with community mobilization intervention plus the use technology (to measure denominator populations, tag each HH for repeat visits, collect digital data, algorithms for clinical and management decisions, dashboards and heatmaps). Helped raise CPR by 11% to 45%, at around USD 6.5 per user. Now being tested as a platform for UHC from the community side. Phase 1 (36K women) was published earlier [ https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1155/2023/2587780 ]. Also attaching a preprint for phase 2 (100K women) [ https://doi.org/10.64898/2026.03.07.26347840 ] [*see note below]

Please let me know if there are questions . Hope you will find it useful

With regards

Adnan Khan
