Dear HIFA colleagues,
I would like to share my latest article, recently published in Think Global Health:
Making AI Tools Work for Low-Resource Maternity Wards | Think Global Health
A physician working in Cambodia argues that artificial intelligence can help improve maternal health outcomes
https://www.thinkglobalhealth.org/article/making-ai-tools-work-for-low-r...
The article draws on my experience working in maternal healthcare in Cambodia and discusses why artificial intelligence can improve maternal outcomes only when accompanied by strong health systems, effective implementation, appropriate training, and locally adapted clinical processes.
Given HIFA's longstanding commitment to improving access to reliable healthcare information and strengthening health systems in low- and middle-income countries, I hope this article will be of interest to the community. I would welcome any comments or discussion.
With best regards,
Dr Suren Kanayan
