Most women in rural communities appreciate the role of community-based care in childbirth compared to facility-based care. Many facility-based healthcare providers are detached from the realities these women are confronted with before they report to them. Some might have traveled long distances without enough cash to pay for the bills. Some do not have National Insurance and that is s major setback. The role of the Local midwives cannot be overlooked when it comes to community members. The local midwife would not only wait for the patient's arrival, but becomes a part of the family of the pregnant woman because of the continuous visits. The most important aspect is for all countries to achieve the Universal Health coverage (UHC) agenda. The achievement of UHC will reduce the inequalities, bridge the gap and reduce unnecessary attitudinal issues patients are confronted with.
