Re: Learning from children on the move

14 January, 2023

Thanks for sharing this. It is clearly an issue of “quality of life” for

children and their families that forces them to get on a boat towards an

uncertain future with the hope of improving it.

Unfortunately, many who face the harsh sea may die or end up in a camp or a

hiding location/drain, where they try to survive. The world needs to get

together empathetic leaders/policy makers who value human life and create

conducive environments where a child born anywhere has the chance to

thrive.

Till then, child refugees deserve all the opportunities that will allow

them to thrive wherever they land. That requires empathetic policies and

regulations for accepting refugees. If we can spend on wars, we can also

spend on peace.

Sincerely,

Shabina
