HIFA seeks a Fundraising Coordinator

27 October, 2022

Healthcare Information for All (HIFA) is a dynamic global movement with a vision to end avoidable deaths and suffering due to lack of access to reliable healthcare information.

Established in 2006 HIFA is now a vibrant and growing community with over 20,000 members worldwide in over 180 countries, communicating across 6 forums and in 4 languages. Members are drawn from a broad range of stakeholders: healthcare providers, policymakers, publishers, librarians, and educators, and many more, all committed to a common goal.

Following a strategic review HIFA is now embarking on an exciting new phase of development to accelerate progress, and central to this is the need to build sustainable capacity for its activities.

To date HIFA has successfully relied largely on volunteers with a minimal central cost base, a model which has delivered exceptional results and global recognition with over 400 organisations worldwide pledging alliance to the vision. In January 2022 Global Healthcare Information Network (the small non-profit that administers HIFA) was admitted into official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), with a 3-year Collaboration Plan to accelerate progress towards universal access to reliable healthcare information.

HIFA now needs a tenacious, well organised administrator with experience in fundraising to help co-ordinate and drive forward the existing fundraising activities and assist the HIFA Coordinator and Steering Group in identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

Based remotely or in our UK office the position is initially voluntary but could become remunerated over time. The successful applicant will be able to commit at least 2-4 hours per week.
