Seeking collaborators for a proposal for the United Nations World Data Forum in Hangzhou, China April 24th to April 27th 2023

13 June, 2022

I joined this webinar "United Nations World Data Forum 2023: Programme proposal submission" on June 7th and am making a proposal for the UNWDF conference in April 2023 Hangzhou, China. The proposal submission asks for

collaborator organizations. Would any HIFA linked organizations be interested in being collaborators for this UN world Data Forum conference?

If this is of interest, I can be contacted at richardpeterfitton7@gmail.com

The UNWDF proposal title is "Inclusion of the citizen in the world data cycle and asking the UN to support a global personal health data processing standard" and the the main description of the content as they relate to the selected topic is:

Digital health solutions and digital technology have played a major role in the world's response to Covid19 and will continue to do so. Personal health data is useful to governments but also to citizens - especially citizens who experience disabilities. The governments of G7 countries and of the EU are supporting systems to allow 10% of the world's patients to access their personal health data. We will illustrate the use of and access to personal health data to citizens and will suggest that citizens will be a strong pillar of information governance of the UNWDF's collection of personal health data. We will present patients' experience of the use of their personal health data and the national standards that we have developed to allow patients to access and add to their personal health data. We will also call for the UN to support the development of an emergent UN global standard for the processing of personal health data by governments, corporations, technology companies, health service providers and citizens.
