Dear Neil and all Hifa members,

I am Shahidul Haque from Bangladesh working on disabilities and development. Main focus is to prevent Rickets that lead children to disability if not identified early and to cure specially the club feet of children early through early identification of the child those who are suffering from this problem. I started in 1989 and first found Rickets in 1991 in the south east belt that is chakaria in Cox Bazar district close to the bay. But a large number of children were suffering from Rickets the prevalence was near about 9% and now that has come down 1%. I have written a story book on that journey named "A Journey to Win Rickets" If you feel interested let me know. I am sending here enclosing a cover page of the book. [*see note below]

We are proudly displaying the SARPV logo on our home page www.hifa.org and we look forwward to collaborating with you as our 27th HIFA partner over the coming months and years. One possibility is to work together on a HIFA project in 2026 dedicated to the healthcare information needs of people living with disabilities and those who care for them. Through our official relations with WHO, HIFA is in contact with the WHO Disability Health Equity Network and this could provide a framework for SARPV and HIFA to achieve common goals.]
